ONE NIGHT STAY AT RITZ CARLTON MILLENIA
Just went to Ritz Carlton with bb for a 1 night stay recently.
Supposed to go before he went overseas in dec and maybe could have a nice pre-x'mas celebration, but decided to postpone it to Jan till his "drinking ban" is officially over. Haha... This suits me fine anyway since the date is somewhere near my birthday and maybe can also be consider our belated 2nd anniversary celebration. So i guess it's a suitable occasion to have a nice getaway somewhere other than our usual dates. Have to say this is 1 of the most impressive hotel i have stayed before so far. But then again, i guess this is what you expect to get for a 5/6 star hotel. The service was excellent as the hotel staffs there were always ready to help and were very friendly and polite in general. The room was superb! It has almost every amenities i can think of and even extra things like hair brush, mouthwash, ice bucket and shoe polish. Even the slippers were extra comfortable! We were given a spacious deluxe kallang bay view room on the 8th level, which provides a panoramic view of the cityscape. As for the bathroom, there is only 1 word to describe it - WOW!
The building facade which is easily recognisable due to their famous octagonal windows
Our king size bed which is elevated so that we are able to enjoy the spectacular view even while lying on the bed.
The view from the bed :)
37-inch LCD television and DVD player
We even have a walk-in closet with lots of hanging space :)
My only grouse about the hotel - our mini bar which doesn't comes with any complimentary items, not even mineral water :(
All these are obviously not free as well
Lucky bb brought along a bottle of red wine. Well.. the man just can't do without his wine :)
My favourite! - Our spacious bath room with a set of luxurious bath robe with separate toilet...
Shower cubicle...
And this!!! My goodness! This is definately the main attraction of Ritz Carlton. The view is once again, stunning from the octagonal bathroom window. The bath tub here is really fantastic. It has a head rest and even comes with a waterfall style tap to fill up the bath tub. Little extras like bath salts were also provided to maximise our comfort.
I am super in love with the bathroom! <3<3<3
I even "kope" the hair brush home after that. Haha...
Can even see the Singapore Flyer from our room. Hope can try that with bb 1 day :)
View during the day
Our room is just opp. Millenia Walk
The night views are equally fantastic, which kinda adds a romantic touch to it :)
Me & my bb :)
The hotel lift lobby which overlooks the Singapore skyline at Marina. Nice! :)
Can even see the floating platform used during NDP and the still under-construction casino. I can already foresee how gorgeous the whole place must be once everything is completed, together with the fireworks in the night sky during NDP celebrations.
The hotel swimming pool
We just can't resist taking a picture here :)
This ang moh just can't do without a gym, even in a hotel
-_-"'
Went out for a nice dinner at Swiss Culture after that and rented a dvd from Suntec to watch during the night at the comfort of our room :)
Hee... Normally i seldom use the bath tub in the hotel. But because there is so much raves about Ritz's famous bath tub, i decided to buy some foam bath beforehand in order to create our bubble bath :)
bb also brought along some candles and we decided to decorate it around the bath tub. Hee... kinda romantic to be able to soak in the bubble bath, sit back, relax and watch the world goes by while enjoying a glass of red wine. If this is our home, i think i will definately soak in the bathtub everyday. Haha...
In general, it was a great experience at Ritz Carlton and if given a chance, i would definately like to go back there again, maybe try out with a marina view room next time :)
