LELONG LELONG!
Just went to the Jurong West flea market over the weekend with my nutty pals to sell our barang barang and make space for our overflowing wardrobe. It was the first time i was involved in a flea market, thanks to the help of Groundnut, who informed us of this lobang. And the rental is damn cheap, only 5 bucks for 1 stall space. So we decided to reserve 2 slots. Clothings, accessories, bags and even stuff like hair spray, stickers, erasers, magnets are some of the items we intend to sell over there. Did not really expect to earn much from the sales though, cos people there were looking for cheap bargains. So we only priced our item ranging from $0.50-$5 max. Really lelong lelong sales. Ha...
The experience there was quite fun! Things that we thought nobody would buy were sold in the end. Even those that appears a bit yellowish or worn out. Guess one man's trash is another man's treasure. And people there likes to bargain even though the price is like cheap until cannot cheap anymore. Reminds me of my bkk experience. Just that the roles are reverse this time. Ha... But the weather on that day was really kuku. The rain (light drizzle mostly) came on and off, ranging from 5-10 mins interval each time. Hmm... Is the rain god teasing us? So we had to quickly packed our stuff and ran to the shelter. Thankfully, the weather was fine in general. Hence, we could still continue with our business after that.
At the end of the day, we did managed to clear quite a bit and surprise surprise, we made a grand profit of $171.50!!!! OMG! Didnt expect to earn so much from selling $0.50 to $5 items. *Jumping for joy* We were expecting about 20-30 bucks before we started. Though our bodies were kinda aching and tired after that, we were happy and proud of our achievement :) Too bad the flea market is only 1 day. Next time if we have another flea market stall, i am gonna bring more barang barang there to sell. Wahahaa...
