HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
Gosh... I am almost reaching mid twenties! Demoralising man... I wish i could see more, do more and learn more. Actually, there are a lot of things which i hope to achieve in life but i always ended up with excuses like "maybe next time" or delay it further. All the talks and no actions... Sigh~ I got to change this bad habit of mine before it is too late. Like i said before, time will not wait for you and how many precious time can we afford to lose?
On the day(28th Jan) when i celebrated my birthday in advance with my nutpals, news filtered through that Taiwanese actress, Xu Wei Lun met with a serious car accident and was in a coma. It was reported that she needed 10,000 cc of blood! Can you imagine how much blood is that??? Unfortunately, she did not survive through the ordeal despite words of encouragements and prayers from all her loved ones. To make it worse, she was only 28 when she passed away just like that. She did not even had the chance to say her final farewells to her family, friends and loved ones. Although i am not exactly a fan of her, it saddens me that someone so young, pretty and talented left this world when she should have a long journey ahead of her. Life is so fragile and unpredictable. Therefore, i decided to cherish and treasure all my loved ones even more from now on. At least i will not be looking back in regrets when i reflect on my past.
Anyway, back to the main topic. I was supposed to meet the nutpals at bukit batok interchange on that same day. Even though i was late, surprisingly i was the first to reach. (That was what i thought initially) Shortly after, Peanut came and suddenly asked me this question:
"What is your age?"
Sensing something suspicious, i hmm and ahhh before finally saying 24 and tried to act blur that i forgot my age. At least i am right to say i am still 23 at that point of time since it was an advanced celebration. Peanut was expecting me to say 24. Haha...
Then she handed me this:
First clue: "8 x 5" My god! They wanted to play games with me. Oh no! Frankly speaking, at that point of time, i was not really in the right frame of mind to play the game. So naturally, my immediate reaction was:
"8 x 5 = 40 lah! What does it represent i really don't know"
I begged peanut for some clues and she hinted me to sing it out.
I was like, "to the tune of what?"
I started to secretly question myself did i leave my intelligence somewhere. Eventually, i managed to guess the correct answer. Phews~
Click Play to know the answer
Sounds familiar? This song is by Justin Timberlake (I love him man!) The song title is "I'm lovin It". Apparently, this song was used in Mcdonald's TV Commercial. So the answer is Mcdonald. Faint right?~~~ O_o Ba la ba ba ba~ (I just realise that there are only 8x4. Haha...) Went to Mcdonald and saw Rong waiting patiently there. (Or maybe she was already cursing & swearing at me for taking such a long time)
"So your beckham will be playing in which country in future?" she asked
"America lah..." This is easy. Hehe...
She passed me my second clue:
Seems like i got to guess what that weird symbol pointing to a building meant and then "Go find your cousin". Again, begging for more clues, they told me that the key word is "Symmetrical" and "Mirror reflection" I almost gone crazy trying to figure out what is that weird symbol. Rong even wanted me to kiss her to get more clues but i simply refused :p Finally with more hints, i got the answer.
Notice the Westmall symbol? So W & M=symmetrical.
The "Go find your cousin" part was easy. Upon entering Westmall, I walked straight and Voila! I saw a signboard of my cousin just in front of me! They did not expect the organisers to place the signboard so near the entrance. Lucky me. Hehe... The gals even told me a lame reason why they chose this spot. Notice the rice cooker there? Rice cooker = 饭锅 which leads to 郭宝钻, which is my chinese name. Both words have "Guo" in it. -_-"' *Faint for the second time
At this point, Coconut appeared and asked me to say out my nick in our gang. See the reluctant expression on my face? I was forced to say "Pau" Arrgh!!! I got my third clue:
What the heck is 624??? It can represents a lot of things. My brain cells were busy holding funerals among themselves at this stage. The gals even threatened me that this number is significant and will test how strong is my friendship with them. *Stressed* Rong was so impatient that she decided to go to the washroom first while i tried to solve the puzzle. Seriously, i need help! Someone please press the emergency button for me!
Suddenly, it struck me that the number could be groundnut's block number since she lives just beside westmall. The gals even said that if i felt that was the answer, i could take a look there and they would just follow me wherever i go. Well, i guess i got to take a gamble then.
Look at Coconut sniggering behind my back!
Seems like i am entering a twilight zone!
Almost lost my way while looking for block 624.
Finally found block 624 but all i saw was an old couple hugging and behaving intimately at the bench. Oops! But where is Donut?
Seems like she shifted to another block due to 3 reasons:
1. She waited too long for me (Apologies!)
2. The intimate old couple <3
3. There are cats (Donut claimed that she is suffering from zoophobia - fear for all animals)
After searching around the nearby blocks, i came face to face with this:
Donut holding a knife!
Turns out they planned a surprise for me! Very touched! :')
Cutting the cake - It was a good choice that they chose a chocolate cake. I loves chocolates! The cake turned out better than we expected as the chocolate coating was really thick! Yummy~
Went "Gone Fishing" for dinner. If only groundnut and Angela were here too. Then we will be one big happy family!
Finally i got a pair of roller blade - partly sponsored by my nutpals :)

A personal gift from Donut! I really love this earrings!

Received a second surprise on 1 Feb! In fact, i did not notice that there was an envelope attention to me on my living room table the previous night, as i was out that night. It was a birthday card hand-made by the nutpals! Oh my god! Totally did not expect them to give me a second surprise through the mail. *Shocked* Donut told me that they wanted to cheer me up as they noticed that i looked moody recently. Really appreciate the effort that they put in this time just to make my birthday a memorable one for me. I love my nutty pals! :)

Another hand-made card! This time by my SIM cliques - Amy, Jas, Zhi Yun & Tim :)
A black jacket from them! Fits perfectly too! Actually it was one of the items which i plan to get all along. This gift came at the right time. All thanks to my SIM pals! Yeah~
