HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
He is going to Japan for a one week holiday.
Sad right? Of all days, Feb 14th is the only available slot in the waiting list to Japan. Arrgh! Lucky i still managed to meet up with him for a quick lunch since it was a night flight.
To sidetrack a bit, i just found out one interesting fact about Valentine's Day in Japan:
In Japan, it is only the women who give presents (mainly chocolates) to men. Japanese women are usually too shy to express their love. Therefore, Valentine's Day was thought to be a great opportunity to let women express their feelings. Chocolate given to men such as co-workers or male friends, whom women don't feel special love are called "giri (obligation)-choco (chocolate)." Chocolate given to a special man from a woman is called "honmei (prospective winner)-choco." Honmei-choco is more expensive than giri-choco and is sometimes homemade. However, this is a custom that smart chocolate companies spread to boost their sales, and it has been very successful. Men are supposed to return gifts to women on a day called "White Day" (March 14th), a Japanese creation.
Interesting right? O_o
By coincidence, i happened to get my dumb dumb this for Valentine's Day:
 A box of assorted chocolate truffles (6 pieces) from Godiva! The price is also VERY NICE- $35 for 6 small pieces, which works out to about $5.80 for each piece! Lucky he is someone who knows how to appreciate good chocolate since both of us are chocolate lovers :) I managed to try 1 bite and it was delicious! Glad that he likes it too :) By the way, mine is a "honmei (prospective winner)-choco." Hee...
Oh, a special mention to my dear friend, Amy who bought 1 piece of Godiva Raisin Fine Champagne Chocolate for me to try.  The sensation of champage oozing out from the dark chocolate, wow... amazing. *Happy* Lalalalaaa~~
Dumb dumb went PS with me yesterday to scout for my belated birthday present. I told him i wanted a watch. Turns out he is also quite particular about the overall design (I expected him to say everything looks nice) and we actually went from PS to Le Meridien to Orchard Point to Centrepoint and eventually back to PS again just to look for more varieties offered by each shop. Haha... I almost forgot that he is also someone who takes a long time to make up his decision. (just realise both of us have this weakness) *Shakes head* Of course, he left it to me to decide the watch that i wanted. Finally, we saw this metal watch from Sovil Et Titus which kind of suits me: nice and simple
 Frankly speaking, when i first saw this watch there, it did not really appeal to me intially. It was dumb dumb who asked me to try it out. I guess the bright lightings there affect the colour cos it comes with a mother-of pearl face. The reflections from the light makes the colour very 'white'. Fortunately under normal lighting, i realised the colour is actually more towards purple-pink and the pearl face makes the colour more unique. It comes with a nice box where the theme of this season's advertisements is "Romance is how you feel". Just nice for Valentine's Day too - Sweet! :) It was a good choice eventually cos the more i see it, the more i like it. Muack! :) Dumb dumb said i can choose 1 more watch as my valentine's gift since my original intention was to buy a white leather watch. In the end i fell for another Titus watch again cos City Chain carrys majority of that brand. So I chose this: 
My first square face watch! Actually the colour is not white but more towards cream colour. It comes with a croco-effect leather strap with sparkling crystals around the rim of the watch face. Now i got 2 new watches instead of 1! Woo hoo~ :) Ironically, he just gave me 'double the time' (pun intended) which i alway wanted from him. Haha...
Before i forget, actually i did buy something for CNY. The A & F bag that i ordered online arrived just in time! See? No need to squeeze with sweaty crowd or listen to crazy 'aunty songs'. That is the reason why i am so addicted to online shopping nowadays. Been 'Bio~ing' this bag since last year. Finally decided to get it as a present for myself and at the same time reward myself for the effort that i put in during the school holidays. 1 more item on my wishlist fulfilled! Yeah~ *Skips away*
