ADVERT: 'CAFE OLIV' & 'GOT DOGS'

Cafe Oliv is officially open on 18th May 2007!

Congratulation to Zhi Yun and and her bf aka Uncle Kevin! Haha...

Just went to Cafe Oliv at East Coast Road (super far!) with Jas and her mum for dinner today. Uncle Kevin has finally upgraded from a chef to the big towkay! (Clap! Clap!) Quite surprise to see swings outside similar to those from Balcony Bar, though i got no chance to try it. Hee... The place is air conditioned, so no worries about the heat from outside.

We ordered set meals which comes with soup of the day (mushroom soup - my favourite!), a main course and a drink. As recommended by Zhi Yun, we also ordered the button mushroom. I like this dish! The button mushroom is not like those usual button size that you find in those tin cans but more like the size of a ping pong ball. Yes, that means you can have a sizable bite out of it and there is still something left for you to chew on. Most importantly, got the '口感'. It is also crispy on the outside and together with the mayonise sauce, yummy! We had mutton, salmon and chicken leg for the main course. According to Jas's mum who ordered the mutton, she said that it was quite well done and there was no mutton smell. That means it must be good as i almost threw up many years back on a piece of mutton that stunk so badly i almost fainted on the spot. I had phobia about mutton ever since. -.-"' Too bad i forgot to take the photos of all the food and my photography skill is not quite up to standard, so better don't ruin the food with my lousy amateur skill. O_o As for the pricing, it is quite reasonable, about 15 bucks for the set meal. The best part is there is no GST & service charge, which is a good thing since the stupid GST is going to rise again.

We happened to arrive at about the same time as Ester, Joyce and friends. What a coincidence! But our poor girl is too busy serving customers and 'monitoring' her staffs. Finally managed to get her for a quick snapshot before she went back to work.

Another advert, this time on behalf of Jas who ask me to help her promote her 'Home Business'

If anyone or your friends are going on a holiday and have no one to look after their pets (small to medium), can ask Jas for help. She will assured that personalised attention will be given to the pets and never will they be confined in a cage. She can even provide progress photos to send to the owner's email for them to view while on holiday! For more details, take a look at the poster below:
