    OVER THE MOON

Can you believe it? A few days ago i tried to order the famous champagne truffle mooncake from Raffles Hotel (Woohoo... someone said wanna sponser. Hee...) but somehow their online system doesn't allow me to order. Then guess what? I heard from sources that it was OOS and they even stop the online order! Damn... I was so devastated! How can they run oos when i have not even landed my hand on a single box of my fav. champagne truffle mooncake??? Just when i thought all hope was lost (fortunately, i am not someone who gives up so easily), i managed to find a lobang with 20% discount somemore! (original price $45. A bit ex hor...)

Wahahaa.... I feel like dancing right now~~ lalalalaa~~

Sky blue tin box... so bright and cheery.
Really lightens up my face when i first saw it :)

There are 8 mini snow-skin champagne truffle & ganache mooncakes in a box - I alway prefer snow-skin over baked ones. Somehow, it just tastes better. Hee...

The grand finale - My goshhhhhhhhhh! It just tastes so heavenly!

Chocolate + Mooncake = My fav. combi!

See the white chocolate and the champagne essence inside? so yummy-licious~ But i wish the champagne taste could be stronger. The skin is soooooooooo soft man. Even my bro said it's damn nice. No wonder it is selling like hot (moon)cakes! Haha... If only they allow me to mix with other flavours, i would have ordered one more box of the mix ones. Seriously, I think i can gobble up the whole box by myself. lol~ When i said i should eat mooncake everyday to fatten myself up, my 'darling' (lol~) said 1 mooncake = 3 bowls of rice (*Correction* - my 'darling' said the minis should be half slice = 3 bowls of rice. So 1 mini = 6 bowls! My god!) , so i cannot eat too much cos the calories is too high. But hor... very hard to resist. How??? Since i only get to eat mooncakes once in a blue moon (no wonder the box is blue. Haha..), arrhh..... heck care! Eat first, think later!

Ok. Gotta go study for my stupid tests and at the same time indulge in my 'mooncake heaven'.

    Byeee~

    SHORT JB TRIP

Phew~ Just returned from a short trip to JB for 4D3N in 1 piece. There are of course reasons for saying this.

I know many people out there must be wondering what is so fun about JB that makes me want to stay for 4 days. Somemore there were constantly news about robberies, rape case etc in JB. It's true that there is nothing much to do or shop over there, especially when there are no sales ongoing right now. But well... Actually my main purpose is to go there eat, shop and relax. I get to do whatever i wanted to do, sleep as much as i want, wake up whenever i feel like it, eat whatever i feel like eating, let my brain rest for a few days without touching anything related to school and most importantly, it's a free stay (yes, sponsered by my godbrother's mum again), why not?

The place we stayed at is Puteri Pacific Hotel, formerly Pan Pacific Puteri Hotel i think. Even though it is supposely a 5* hotel, the rate is so damn cheap compared to Sg cos everything in Sg = $$$.

Shots taken from the elevator. There is a swimming pool, tennis and squash court. Too bad there isn't anyone to play with me... :(

As usual, i like to take shots of the hotel view. Though not exactly fantastic scenary, but 'Mai Hiam Buay Pai' lah~

The other view. Too bad the billboard display is Steven Gerrard (Anti-Liverpool!), why not beckham??? At least there is something nice for me to see right...

    Night scene

The first few places which i like to explore in a hotel room is the bathroom. I luv the bathroom! They have everything! Even things like disposable razor, cotton swab and even a nail filing emery board on top of the usual items. Are most 5* hotels like that or i am just too sua ku (mountain turtle)? Haha...

And it's so big that there is even enough space to put a toilet bowl, shower cubicle and bath tub all in one place. Shiok! I alway like a big bathroom, hopefully i get something like this for my 'future home'. *Dreaming* Haha...

I like the room as well. Rather spacious. The only bad point was the stupid aircon - freezing cold!

While on this trip, one of the the worst feeling i ever experienced was having a table with internet connection but there isn't a laptop for me to surf net :( Suddenly it seems so weird to go 'internet-less' for so many days (yaya.. i know i am exaggerating cos it's only 3 nights. But i am online almost everyday loh).

We decided to go Plaza Pelangi to take a look. This cab driver really amazed me man... the moment we sat inside, i noticed his cab was filled with many displays, stickers, dangling objects, photoframes, cushions and even a tissue box which he sticks right above his head. So special right. I just couldn't resist taking a pic of it secretly with my hp. Hee...

Guess what? They have Dunkin' Donuts at Plaza Pelangi! After trying Donut Factory and JCO donuts, finally i get the chance to try another brand of donut which was also raved by other people.

Apparently when i decided on buying, it was near closing time and there was not much selections left. So i tried asking the staff to recommend me some of the more popular ones and all i get was "I also don't know" Wah liew... You mean you don't even know which are the popular flavours? Somemore she was also not very sure about some of the toppings when i enquired about it. Arrgh. Irritating! What kind of service is that? As i was still very keen on trying out, i just randomly picked a few. Quite cheap. RM10.50 for 6 pieces.

    My Verdict:
The one with white frosting is nice. Something similar to the Double Chocolate at donut factory with chocolate fillings that ooze out when i bite on it. The smiley face has some strawberry jam inside, which i don't really like cos like i mentioned before, i am not a very strawberry person. The white chocolate with pink & blue toppings also not bad. The rest ok only. Too bad i did not really get to try the majority of the ranges compared to Donut Factory & JCO. I guess the popular ones are sold out. Till i get to try the remaining ones, i shall reserve my judement. But if based on what i tried above, it is pretty average. JCO still top my list so far.

Haha.. i know i am very bo liao. Nothing much to do at night so i played with my hp cam. Being a regular night owl, I can't sleep early like those 2 over there. Which is why i said it is a very torturing thing when there is no internet for me to use. Thank god i brought my ipod along and a book to read.

Hee... My new hair cut & colour! Went back to the Fox salon at City Square where i did my hair last time. RM190(approx. S$84) for colour + cut + treatment + highlight. Cheap right. And they have another promotion package where i can return for another 4 more protein treatments + cut for additional RM330. So each treatment & cut works out to about S$36. Super cheap and there is no expiry date! Needless to say, i succumbed to temptations. Haha... Maybe next time i shall try rebonding or perming.

I did something after that which, maybe to some people, it was a stupid or daring thing to do.

Instead of taking a cab by myself back to the hotel, i decided to walk back. Actually i was not trying to save the cab fare since the hotel was only about 15 mins walk from City Square and cab fare will only cost RM5-6 bucks. Being a totally clueless person with absolute no sense of direction (i guess everyone knows this) + i was in a 'foreign country' with a rather high crime rate, i knew it was a risky thing to do. But who knows whether taking cab alone will be safe right? What if it was a fake cab driver that i stopped and he drove me to some ulu area, then robbed, raped or worse still, killed me? I may think too much again but anything is possible right. To test my self survival skill and to prove that i can find my way back, i retraced back the route where i came from based on my instinct. It was not just straight all the way ok. I need to make many turns and even cross the roads. Surprisely, i did not make a single wrong turn and arrived at the hotel in 1 piece. Haha... Just like what Hiro Nakamura always exclaimed when he managed to teleport himself to another place in the TV series "Heroes", i felt like shouting "Yatta!"(I did it!). But i walked and he used teleport ok (actually it would be super useful for me if i could have his special power. lol~). But still, i am so damn proud of myself cos for once, i actually have a sense of direction. Haha... Crazy gal~

My naughty godbrother, David. Somehow, my life seems to revolve closely around guys with this name (-_-"') All of them like to 'torture' me metally or physically! Haha... And hor... They are all born in May! O_o

    Spooky or Coincidence?

There was another incident which happened while i was over there. It might be my over imaginations lah. We went to Taman Sri Tebrau Hawker Centre (Da Ma Hua Yuan) late at night for dinner. By the time we finished, it was around 11pm+. So we decided to take cab back. As the area there was quite dark, we decided to walk out to take the cab. While walking, we noticed a cab from a distance and naturally flagged it. The cab driver was a man. From his back view, he looked very weak and frail and his reply was so soft spoken that i can barely heard his voice when we enquired about the fare. Then i don't know whether was it because his seat was too low or maybe he is a bit hunch back, the way he held the steering wheel just looks weird lah. I also don't know how to describe. Anyway, other than that, everything was ok and we reached the hotel without a problem.

The next day, we decided to go back there again for our seafood cravings (sambal sotongs, stingrays, crayfish, fried kang kong, clams, LaLa etc. *Drool*) as the food there was really good and cheap. We again finished at around 11pm+ and walked out to take a cab as usual. We missed 1 or 2 cabs before we saw another one approaching again. So we quickly flagged for it. Actually the first thing i noticed before i stepped into the cab was the back view which looks so familar. Again, we enquired about the price and tried to quote a slightly lower price than what we were charged the previous night. Then suddenly, the man replied in a softly spoken voice, "作晚我见过你..." My god! it was the same cab driver as the previous night! The way he said those words sounds creepy man. And he kind of said it in a slow motion way (or did i imagine it?). Somemore i remembered when i sat in that fanciful cab which we took previously to plaze pelangi, i even said that there are so many cabs in malaysia and it would only take a fanciful one like the one we took to remember that we boarded it before. And given the large number of cabs over there, it was a low possibilty anyway. Now we actually met the same driver consecutively for 2 nights??? At the same place and almost same timing too??? Somemore he just feels weird to me loh. As it was still the lunar '7th month', my mind naturally think of 'something else' lah. But we still boarded his cab and in case anyone wants to know the car plate number, it is 8883. Hee.. Can buy 4D.

Coincidence or not, i don't know. Maybe it was just my imaginations. See? JB may be boring but the things i 'experienced' is certainly not boring. Haha...
